 Monday April 4, 2022 - Day 5

Today was cold, cloudy, and windy so we didn't do much except go shopping for warmer clothing. We caught the 39 bus to Newry (7.20 GBP each round trip, that's about $9.40 USD to go two towns over, about 9 miles) because I just didn't want to drive in a largish town and we wanted to see where we caught the bus (just outside our little lane) and how long it took to get to Newry (about 30 minutes).

Here are pictures of the flowers and plants in the yard and the outside of the house and some interesting features from the inside:

The sun-room is a new edition, the place itself is quite old, and broken up into 4 units, each three stories plus attic.

I love these old homes and how unique they are. This one has four fireplaces although I think only one is being used. I really like the tiles on some of the fireplaces.
Fireplace in foyer.

Fireplace in the formal living room. This one is functional.

I love the newel on the staircase and this tiny door. The controls for the heat and hot water are behind that door as well as a tiny closet.

Close up of ceramic tiles on fireplace.

Ceramic tiles on upstairs fireplace.

Original front door, now leads to the sun-room.

Flocked wallpaper

Tomorrow should be a nice day so we will venture out again, maybe to the Cloghmore Stone.
