Paris day five and I'm super tired.

We left here around 10 this morning (slept late) and headed for the Arc de Triomphe since it was a sunny day. No rain predicted and cool breezes, perfect for a long walk along the Champs Elysees and for climbing to the top of the Arc. Which we did. The spiral staircase is 248 steps and then there is a space with a photography exhibition, then another flight of stairs to get to the "attic" with a gift shop and memorial, and then another flight of stairs to get to the top.
If you time it just right you can stand in the middle of the Champs Elysees and take a picture.

 Looking up.
The "attic". Another flight of stairs to go.
The Champs Elysees seen from the top of the Arc.

 Downtown Paris.
Photography exhibition inside the Arc. Soldiers uniforms of WWI
This was a uniform worn by a storm-trooper. Real name.
 On the way back down.
A statue in a park on our way to the Eiffel Tower.
The Eiffel Tower. That's a giant soccer ball hanging from the middle. The games are going on now in Paris.

Once in a while you just have to have your picture taken next to a funny little car.
Under a bridge on the Seine
This is an amphi-car, sitting on a boat. The amphi-car works on both water and land, just not very well. Quite the collectors item.
